Fermanagh Youth Theatre is the charitable end of our school in which students, who are attending drama lessons, prepare a musical each year to perform in the Ardhowen Theatre.

Fermanagh Youth Theatre first took to the stage in 2019 performing ‘High School Musical’ in the Ardhowen Theatre in Enniskillen. The group consisted of 47 children aged 3-16 years.

During their first performance, the children were assessed by an examiner from Trinity College for their Grade 4 Musical Theatre in Production and all children passed with a Distinction.

Fermanagh Youth Theatre was established by Ciara in 2018, and then, in 2019, the parents of students attending classes in Lisnaskea, following the success of the performance of our students from FSoMaPA of ‘Frankenstein’ and ‘Blood Brothers’ in the Knocks Hall, also joined to help with the smooth running of fundraising, allowing tutors to concentrate fully on classes.

As a staff we felt the children deserved the opportunity to perform on the ‘big stage’ in The Ardhowen Theatre, Enniskillen, and created a committee to help raise funds to enable this to happen. There were coffee mornings, raffles, street collections and many other events to help raise the money to ensure the children were able to perform their first ever musical, ‘High School Musical’, on the 19th-22nd August 2019.

Fermanagh Youth Theatre is part of Fermanagh School of Music and Performing Arts and ensures the children are able to stage their musical each year by taking the worry of raising much needed funds. Any profits raised from our performances are then paid directly to Fermanagh Youth Theatre to help cover the cost of tutors for future performances.

Fermanagh Youth Theatre is not a teaching or examining establishment as all classes are run through, and under the clear direction of, Fermanagh School of Music and Performing Arts.
